The
Child Care Choices Child Care Food Program can help you with meal
cost reimbursement for nutritious meals and snacks.
The
Child Care Food Program is a U.S.D.A. program to help you provide
nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for health and growth in
children 12 and younger. You will be reimbursed for nutritious
meals you serve to your daycare children.
Through
the Child Care Choices Food Program, you will receive training,
ideas for meals, support with questions and concerns and the
opportunity to form friendships with others in the child care
business.
The
Child Care Choices Food Program is a part of the National School
Lunch Act which seeks to provide a healthy nutritional base for
all children regardless of income, race, national origin, gender,
age or disability.
There
are two ways to qualify to participate in CACFP.
If you are a Type B certified provider you are eligible to
participate. If you are not you may become Alternately Approved by
arranging a health and fire inspection of your home and a
background check (includes fingerprinting everyone over 18 years
old in your household).
