CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP)

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks served to eligible children who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers and family child care homes. CACFP contributes to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children and adults in the United States.

The Child Care Choices CACFP can help family child care providers with cost reimbursement for nutritious, balanced meals and snacks.  The food program uses USDA funds, administered through the Ohio Department of Education.  The funding is for children age 12 and younger. The Child Care Choices CACFP serves Miami, Montgomery, Shelby, Clark and Darke counties.
